She has focused her career on developing, implementing, and scaling care delivery and digital health innovations to transform cancer care. Her career to date has included 17 years at University of Pennsylvania's Abramson Cancer Center as an oncology NP, Clinician Scientist, and Director of Clinical Programs in Cancer Survivorship, followed by seven years as Co-founder and Chief Clinical Officer of Carevive Systems, Inc. In 2020, she re-joined academia as an Associate Professor of Nursing at Thomas Jefferson University and Associate Director in the Sidney Kimmel College of Medicine's Digital Health track, and now retains her academic affiliation while serving as Canopy's executive director. Carrie lives in the Philadelphia area and spends her free time sailing the open oceans and inland bays with her husband, teenage son, and dog Mabel. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Oncology at Johns Hopkins University, where he works in the Washington, DC National Capitol Region, leading the GI and Phase I programs there. Dr. Pishvaian is recognized as a leader in the field of Pancreatic Cancer, particularly for his work in the area of precision medicine, and he has published over 100 articles. His scientific leadership roles include National Study Chair or Co-Chair of several large Phase II and Phase III trials in pancreatic cancer,, Alliance Co-Chair of the Pancreatic Cancer subcommittee, and Alliance member of the NIH Pancreatic Cancer Task Force. Mike is also a member of the Scientific and Medical Advisory Board for both Let’s Win PC and for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, where he serves as Vice Chair. Right after graduation, he attended World University’s School of Dentistry. Before opening Keene Dental in 1994, he worked for free clinics and some of the finest practices in the District.
